Participation in the United Nations Regional Conference on Space and Global Health, Vienna

UNOOSA -  The regional conference on Space Technologies for Advancing Global Health took place in October 2024 at the UN Headquarters in Vienna, bringing together stakeholders from international space agencies (NASA, ESA), industry, governments, and academia. The meetings focused on the peaceful use of space, strengthening the legal and regulatory framework for space technologies for global health, in particular earth observation data and geographic information systems to combat climate change and its impact on healthcare; focus on the Americas. The recommendations developed at these meetings will serve sustainable socio-economic development and, beyond that, the decolonisation of global healthcare.

Dr. Miriam Lee presented together with Dr. Vincent Liaudat at the ALPS Conference  Switzerland, complementing the main stage keynote program with psychoacoustic experiences of altered states. Keynote speakers included Dr. Rosalind Watts, and many more. 

Special Award - Space Technologies and Global Health Hackathon, Switzerland

We are excited to share that Dr. Miriam Lee and her hackathon team have been awarded the Special Award by the European Space Agency and Geneva Digital Health Hub, for presenting an R&D concept to the European Space Agency.
Dr. Miriam Lee is pursuing the development of her prototype technology together with Swiss stakeholders from academia and private industry.

Admission as challenge leader for the European Space Agency & Geneva Digital Health Hub - 2024 Space and Global Health Hackathon

Moreover, we are proud to share that our highly qualified team of multidisciplinary individuals joined the Space and Global Health Hack in person at Campus Biotech Geneva, on 31. May - 1. June 2024.

Dr. Miriam Lee has joined the UNOOSA Taskforce for Space and Global Health. Its 2023 conference held at the European UN Headquarters brought together stakeholders from international Space Agencies (NASA, ESA), Industry and Academia. The meetings focused on the peaceful uses of outer space, strengthening the legal and regulatory frameworks for space activities, assisting developing countries in using space science and technology for sustainable socioeconomic development and decolonization.

Participation in the Brain Health Panel Day, World Economic Forum Davos 2024

We supported the buildup of a specialized Brain Health fund during 2023, before resuming activities with Convergence Partners AG early 2024. On the Mental Health Panel Side Event at WEF Davos 2024 on 16th January 2024 we celebrated an ambitious kick off campaign for the redefinition of mental health in companies, organized by Convergence Partners, Kodori Ventures, European Brain Council.

May 2023 - Swiss Forum for Foreign Policy, Bern, Geneva, Zurich

4 visions for more equity, capacity and a paradigm shift among global health systems by 2040. 

• together with the Swiss Forum on Foreign Policy foraus and  >20 authors - we call for future pandemic preparedness, presented to global health stakeholders during the 2023 World Health Assembly in Geneva.
  The brief calls for improving the capacity of health systems, more efficient surveillance of infectious agents, more equitable production and distribution of pandemic countermeasures and urges the international community to address the root causes of pandemics.

We consulted at Convergence Partners AG in the areas of acoustics, sound vibration, wellbeing, mental health,  brain health and digital health technologies. Based on her vision of a salutogenic, regenerative model of personalized health, with the goal of building more sustainable healthcare and improving health system capacity, she supported the buildup of a specialized Brain Health fund in 2023, and resumed her activities with Convergence Partners AG in January 2024.

WORKSHOP: YOGA + DEEP SOUND MEDITATIONS

• Movement, breathing and sound experience are the focus of this workshop. We will dive into the deeply relaxing sound bath through the body and the asana and pranayama practice. We will create a powerful combination to regenerate and balance the body, mind and spirit and release stress. 
• A sound meditation is a deeply restorative and regenerative relaxation method using gongs, singing bowls, drums and other instruments. It combines the benefits of gentle sounds and group meditation to relax the nervous system and restore inner balance.
